Dr. Gernot Schulze


Born 1947 in Lübeck, northern Germany. Graduated high school 1966 in Lübeck.

Studied law from 1968-1975 in Munich.

Active as a lawyer since 1978. Worked at Max-Planck-Institut for foreign and international patent, copyright and competition law in Munich. Completed doctorate in 1981 at Freie Universität in Berlin.

Founded own legal practice in 1982. Temporarily worked as lecturer on copyright at Passau University and at the ETH in Zürich.

Has published various works on copyright, among them Commentary on Copyright Law, a Dreier/Schulze co-write that is currently in its fifth edition.
